Why do I need to perform the Daily Update?

You must perform the Daily Update so that the system knows that the next day has begun. The system has no independent means of knowing when a new day has started. The system is set up this way so that you can decide when your business day has come to an end. Under normal circumstances, if a guest were to arrive after midnight and the system had started a new business day, the guest’s stay would begin from that new day. To avoid this situation, Daily Updates are performed manually so that you can determine for yourself when business has been completed.
